Continuing Education for Nurses

Join us in classes that support you and your helping others. The goal of holistic coaching really is to help you love nursing again, by providing a tool that gives you increased job satisfaction. You feel more successful, you see the very positive effects of your nursing care, and you come away with a renewed love of nursing.

The following courses are approved for continuing education for all states—approved by the American Holistic Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation and approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing.

 

Become a Certified Coach

The International Coaching Federation has worked for a number of years to set up guidelines and criteria for the coaching profession. They offer 3 levels of coach certification—The Associate Coach Credential, the Professional Coach Credential and the Master Coach Credential. They have about 12000 members with 45% of the membership from countries other than the United States. For more information about the International Coaching Federation click www.coachfederation.org.

If you complete the 3 basic ICI courses entitled Holistic Coaching Skills for Nurses (30 hours), the Healing Matrix (15 hours), and the Coaching Practicum (15 hours) you will have 60 hours of coach specific training. To apply for the portfolio application for the Associate Coach Credential from the International Coach Federation you will need the following:

  • 60 hours of coach specific training
  • 100 hours of coaching experience with a minimum of 8 clients
  • 2 references from qualified coaches
  • Pass an oral examination
